The Lowcountry Jaycees are having a fundraiser to benefit Jaycee Camp Hope.

This event will feature 2 levels of International Chili Society competition: Traditional Red Chili and Homestyle Chili. Chefs may also enter the People’s Choice category. (Stay tuned for more information about how YOU can enter the competition!)

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Southside Park. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. and run through 2:00 p.m. Bring the family and spend the day at the new Southside Park, at the intersection of Battery Creek Rd and Southside Blvd.

Plenty of activities for kids of all ages including rock climbing wall, bungee jump, bounce houses, face painters and more! Artisan vendors will be showcasing lots of cool stuff as well!

Chefs will begin cooking will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. with judging beginning at 2:30 p.m. Additional food vendors will be on site to celebrate the festivities with options for the whole family.

The Party in the Park Chili Cookoff is open to the public with FREE admission. Families have the opportunity to purchase all-you-can-taste chili bracelets online and/ or on event day.

This event will benefit South Carolina Jaycee Camp Hope. Jaycee Camp Hope was established in 1969 and is a statewide residential camp for individuals with cognitive disabilities, ages 7 and older. Through four summer sessions, Jaycee Camp Hope strives to give campers healthy experiences outdoors. Benefits include exercise, outdoor activities, personal growth, and social development with peers and caring adults.
